Marcell, Minnesota Real Estate

Out of the 400 people you’ll find living in Marcell, Minnesota, we’re three of them – as you can imagine, this makes us specialists in the Marcell lifestyle and real estate.  There’s plenty to do here, especially during the tourism season.  There’s always lots of activity on the lakes, and during the wintertime, you’ll find many people spending the majority of time snowmobiling.

Marcell, originally a logging town, was called Turtle Lake, but the name was changed after a friendly dispute with other Minnesota towns called Turtle Lake.  Andy Marcell, the town’s namesake, was the first train conductor on the Minneapolis and Rainy River Railroad. The railroad is no more, but now one can drive through town on Highway 38, which is a National Scenic Byway known as the Edge of the Wilderness Scenic Byway.

Buying Marcell home puts you in an intimate community that thrives every year during the tourist season.  You’ll see once you do a web search for Marcell – there are plenty of resorts to visit.
